"If you can imagine it you can achieve it; if you can dream it you can become it."

Midnight Text

Got a text in the middle of the night from my sister, while I was laying in my bed. It said...

Look in the mirror and honour what you see
Look in the mirror and be proud to be,
Look in the mirror and feel amazed, by a beauty that will never fade.
You are more than this, you are more than life, if you dig deeper you will be surprised.
A love that grows and has no end, that is a soul of a true friend.
That true friend is you, and that's why i treasure my life with you.
Thanks for being, thanks for loving and thanks for the warmth of your hugging.

Be a blessing to others.

Nor Way

No! Offense!! (my American friends) But please shut the flip up! Just cause your country is in the ish' now you gonna open your mouth. Politics are so fake. One is worse than the other. They just wanna make money on peoples expense,so tragic. They probably set up things like this, to make people focus on other stuff. It's sad. My Love goes out to all the people who lost someone in Norway. The Lord will take care of them.

Poetry - It's the journey that's important

Life, sometimes so wearying
Is worth its weight in gold
The experience of traveling
Lends a wisdom that is old
Beyond our 'living memory'
A softly spoken prayer:
"It's the journey that's important,
Not the getting there!"

Ins and outs and ups and downs
Life's road meanders aimlessly?
Or so it seems, but somehow
Leads us where we need to be,
And being simply human
We often question and compare....
"Is the journey so important
Or the getting there?"

And thus it's always been
That question pondered down the ages
By simple men with simple ways
To wise and ancient sages....
How sweet then, quietly knowing
Reaching destination fair:
"It's the journey that's important,
Not the getting there!"

Moosi Moos

The Definition of moosi or moos: moosi/moos = "mash" Means, "to cute for it's own sake"for example, if something or someone is too cute!!! and you don't know how to explain it, cause there are no words that really explains how you feel. It is like if you see a cute baby or a little puppy and you wanna almost eat it cause it's so cute? or like you wanna mash it all together cause it is too adorable? Well that's moos or moosi, So, to let it all out, you simply just say moosi moos and you will know exactly what i mean. Feels so much better, lol

godiz - I'm sure i explained Moosi Moos in a older post before, but if you ever wondered how to Moos somebody (cause there is a way to do it) then this is the perfect example... How moosi are they?

Bible Study - Infertility is one of the most hidden problems in the church. In biblical times, barrenness or infertility was viewed as a stigma and a curse. Although there are an equal number of male and female factors involved in infertility, women continue to feel stigmatized and cursed because of infertility. Infertility can represent a crisis of faith for many women. It violates our sense of femininity and infringes on our spouses and our ancestors. Sometimes we may even feel cursed by God: If children are a gift and we can not have children, then we must be understanding of the gift. Some women feel they are being punished for previous transgressions (e.g., abortions) or are accused of being selfish for delaying a child rearing for educational or career goals. Infertility also makes us question the nature of the God we serve. If God is the Provider and Divine Healer, then why doesn't God heal our barrenness? And if God will not bless us with a child, then why doesn't God at least take away our intense desire for a child? Sometimes well-meaning folks in church make it worse by asking if we have fasted and prayed, as if we haven't taken our desires to the altar numerous times. Church folks can sometimes be insensitive to the fact that certain holidays (e.g., Christmas, Mother's Day) are painful reminders of unwanted childlessness for women with infertility. The good news is that God does hear the cries of those who suffer from infertility. God provides us with several models of how to keep our faith even when we don't receive the desires of our hearts. Women can also reframe what it means to "be fruitful, and multiply," by recognizing that we can help bring forth the next generation through other activities besides parenting (e.g., teaching, mentoring, and other helpful activities.) There are seven well-known cases of women in the Bible who were barren and who also received an announcement from God promising the end to the barrenness: Sarah (Gen. 18:9-15), Rebecca (Gen. 25:19-26), Rachel (gen. 30:1-8, 22-24), the unnamed mother of Samson (Judg. 13:1-24), Hannah (1 Sam. 1:1-28), the Shunammite woman (2 Kin. 4:8-17), and Elizabeth (Luke 1:7-25; 39-80).  Read Genesis 16:1-2; Psalms 113:9; Luke 2:36. Read the portraits on Hannah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Sarah.

Don't believe everything you see on TV, News, Papers or Magazines. Media is full of ish'.
The other day Al Jazeera sent a false report about supposedly some violence that had happened in Aleppo/Syria. But the fact was that it was a old video from 2010 in Jordan.

I couldn't find the video on YouTube I'm sure they removed it.
If anyone find's it please send the link or feel free to post it.

Lisa Bonet

People who know me 99,9% most likely know that I'm a HUGE Aaliyah fan, but not all of you know that I'm a BIG Lisa Bonet fan too. My runner up after Aaliyah. She was the ISH' back in the day. Her style over all was the dopest, not to mention her natural beauty.
Most people remember Lisa Bonet as Denise Huxtable from The Cosby Show And its spin off "A Different World". She was soft, femenine, fearless with a splash of a tom-boy. Others are aware of her marriage to Lenny Kravitz, eather way this woman was the reigning queen of bohemian chic style. Lisa Bonet was the ultimate uber-cool hippie chick/rock star muse. In the late '80s,

I was always a fan of Lisa Bonet’s character on The Cosby Show. She was stylish, free-spirited, carefree, a dreamer and although she took a lot of unconventional routes she reminded me of….myself in many ways. Yes Sir! i would defenietly say I'm the “eccentric” one in my family. And proud! I love the fact that she always was comfortable with herself even though she was very different from the rest.

Lisa is a real natural beauty, such as my Baby girl Aaliyah and beautiful Sade.

Their fashion inspired me when i was growing up, so maybe you will notice a touch of Lisa and Aaliyah in my sense of style.

- As I always say no one can play you but yourself and you play yourself when you don't be yourself.
(even though you look up too people, remember to always stay true to your self. Cuase there is only one of you and you do You the best.)

"A jar of salsa and a bag of chips make a temperance snack. If all the big chips are wasted on the full jar, we get towards the bottom and our chips are too small to reach." /Lisa Bonet

To describe her unique, then covetable style signature, Bonet says,
“I like wacky clothes—and every year my style gets more and more eccentric.” (January 1988)

I think the biggest influence on my style must have been when Lisa Bonet played "Denise Huxtable". (The Cosby Show) She rocked hats, she wore crazy oversized boxy clothes, she had the Kanye sunglasses 25 years before he did, she bobbed around to reggae, she bought a hunk of junk of a car...I can't think of another fashionista I looked up to as much as Denise.

article- A funny thing happens when you watch "The Cosby Show" on reruns. Everyone looks way dated: Bill Cosby with his brutally awesome Chess King sweaters, Theo with his designer sweatshirts (Benetton, anyone?) and Vanessa and even little Rudy with their bright pastels and shaker sweaters. (Shaker sweaters! Dude, so 1980s!) Everyone except for Denise Huxtable, played by the ever-lovely Lisa Bonet, who looked a little different then and still looks a bit quirky now: kind of hippie, kind of preppy but also kind of tomboyish and sporty at times. She wore things like palazzo pants with slippers with a man's tuxedo shirt and a tailored jacket over it all - combinations that were off-beat but not flamboyantly eccentric. I didn't really know much about fashion at the age of my peak "Cosby"-viewing experience. But I did know that she was cool and smart. Denise got more and more bohemian as both "The Cosby Show" and "A Different World" progressed, but she always had a "twist" in her outfits, making her a sort of mixmaster before "mixing it up" became fashion's biggest cliche.
Now that I've ingested lifetimes of fashion information, I can appreciate how she evokes a strand of late 80s/early 90s fashion, one centered around a sort of global chic - not really bohemian in the old-school tatty sense of the world, but more embodied by designers like Rifat Ozbek, Romeo Gigli and even WilliWear, who took modes like European couture or American sportswear and spun ethnic and street elements within them. (I wonder if these guys will "come back"

- I was looking at the "sunken crotch" pants I saw on some runways last season and was reminded of Ozbek's "samurai" pants from the early 90s.)

Anyway, Lisa Bonet/Denise Huxtable gets on my style icon list because no one could look like her then, and no one can look like her now - a sort of ineffable mix of elements that looked relaxed and off-hand and hasn't quite been duplicated by anyone since.
It's a bummer that there aren't a lot of stills or even YouTube clips of Ms. Bonet, but you should check out this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VoW8eWfdys
