My sister is known to be a pasta freak. (now you know) so, me and the dog's were invited to have some lunch at her new place plus a sleepover. What do you think was written on the menu?

(The reason why this post is called "Sister Ramsay" is only because my sister loves Gordon Ramsay. She is not as skilled as him in the kitchen though. lol)

Being A Gentleman In A Selfish World

More and more today we are faced with ever increasing selfishness and egotism. Everything from tee shirts to bumper stickers tout "its all about me, deal with it." Many have said chivalry is dead, but I disagree. So what does it mean to be a gentleman in spite of all this? Chivalry, or the act of being a gentleman, is a personal choice. It means consciously going out of your way to make others feel appreciated. Opening doors and occasionally buying flowers is but a small part of it. Being a gentleman means acting sacrificially. A gentleman gives up his seat on the bus or train for an elderly person. He knows when to simply walk away from an argument rather than having the last word. It means not having your way sometimes. Is it worth it? Consider the state of our world. If more men lead by example, and practiced this behavior, where might we be? I am proud to call myself a gentleman.


- It's a hard life to live, but there is honor in it, and while one can be used sometimes for being kind and generous, still the benefits far outweigh the liabilities. I am a gentleman, and I will undoubtedly die a gentleman.

Suddenly it is light. Suddenly it is quiet. Suddenly it is space and it is warmth.
And all this light and quiet and warmth falls upon us all, brightening the dark and filling the room with peace and fresh air. I feel free and happy and unleashed looking at the people around me smiling. They have a sparkle in their eyes. I look around and I can find that same sparkle in every single corner of the room. It’s like magic. Every old painting now is colorful, every old chair now it looks brand new, everything is shiny. I am amazed by all this and I look around at the other people just to see if they’ve noticed too, but they are just looking in one single place, it is weird, I feel like I could do anything right now and nobody will pay attention. They are contemplating something so intense, they just look in one point keeping that sparkle in the eyes. They are hypnotized … My first thought is to see what they are looking at but I’m afraid, I don’t want to lose myself, I want to be aware of everything that happens because I have been waiting for the moment to see you all my life and now I don’t want to get in some sort of a trance. I don’t know what all this people are looking at but I don’t care either, I want to see you and only you. So, I try to keep myself focused but it seems I can’t , my eyes are driven in one direction. I fight this force that wants to control me but I feel weak and small. It’s such a big power and it takes over me. So, I turn my look and then I see YOU. I realize that you are the magic force that is hypnotizing all of us. You are the sparkling light that it’s filling this room making it seem like a palace ballroom with all kind of shiny stuff in it. You are the one that turned this crowded noisy room into a warm peaceful place. You are the firefly that captured our eyes and we can’t let go. I know now that there are so many people in this room but I can’t look at them, I know that you yourself are surrounded by some people but I can not see them. I only see you and I am witched by the light that comes thru your eyes and your skin and thru your every single pore. I am amazed by the way you move, it seems effortless, it is natural for you. Your eyes are hiding so much mistery, they have a million untold stories to reveal,your smile is bittersweet covering all the happiness and the sadness of a world, I can see thru your shirt the way your heart pounds your chest and I know that she is telling the story of the greatest love that ever existed but also the greatest deception that ever existed. Your moves are so gentle and full of love but in the mean time so full of power and revolution. You are a contradiction and for that you are unique. I never thought there is someone on this planet that can make all the pain and anguish and loneliness disappear by just showing up.
You made dreams come true for us, you made the little ugly duck to feel a swan, you made the frog become a prince, you made Peter Pan fly once again for us…you put a spell on us you little frail firefly. Now, go and be free yourself, go and fly over seas and mountains, go play and be happy among the stars…you carried a big charge on your shoulders and now it’s time to be lifted off. godiz - as you can see and know, Aaliyah has been a huge influence in my life, since i was a young teen. And she still is. Aaliyah Dana Haughton You will be forever missed/never forgotten. 10 years on and her style is still classy and timeless. A powerful gifted woman, that have touched me in many ways, I feel sadness and courage.

godiz - The girl in the video is breathtaking she reminds me of a baby Aaliyah. (If anyone know who she is pls let me know) The video opens with a scene in a playground, children play in it. The next scene breaks to a lonesome girl in a swing. The lonesomeness of the girl is synchronized with songs lyrics. Then the girl seen in the top of a building near the playground. Apparently she is going to jump off the building, only to disturbed by approach of a boy wearing goggles. The two seen in a passionate stare at each other and the video turns to an animation. The two take off the ground and flying in the sky. Suddenly they were crashed by springing up buildings and starts to free fall. The two parts to two separate ways and the Girl is saved by an angel. The closing scene shows back in real world the girl in the top of the building again and catching a feather falling down. - I love this song.

The Look

Smokey cat eyes, Nude shiny lips and Covered brows.

I used to do the smokey dark framed (arabian) eye from 15-25, that was really my signature make up look. Could it be cause of my ethnic background? That is how most of the women wear their eyes in the mid east. I guess i wanted to be like my mom. I used to look at old pictures of her, she always looked so pretty from head to toe, and her clothes, hair and make up was always on point.

When i look at pictures of myself, I've noticed that i have slowly toned it down later years. Now i usually wear the smoke eye on special occasions. I have been rockin' different bold shades of lipstick lately and to much eye make up will make the look appear to heavy for a regular day. I still love the dark sharp eyes, so i will probably put the cat eyes on every now and then, to switch it up.

Submission

From the creation of Eve (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:18-21), women of all colors have been created to help meet the biblical requirements for God-glorifying fruitfulness. People are to submit to God first, and then to one another. Otherwise, women - biblical and contemporary - may experience ethnic and gender-based impositions. Too often, submission implies a superior/inferior, master/slave, head/feet relationship, when, in fact, submission is measured by one's love for God. Submission does not mean subjecting yourself to abuse. Nor does it mean mindless acquiescence to the needs and desires of others. Women of God should embrace biblical submission. On the other hand, spiritually depraved women in the Bible eventually came to naught. Such is the case with Jezebel. Here is a woman who rebelled against submission to God, and her refusal cost her everything, including her kingdom and her life (1 Kin. 21:25; 2 Kin 9:6-10, 30-37). Those who submit their will to God will be empowered. On the other hand, those who rebel against God are continually disempowered. It can never be assumed that blind submission or obedience to a man - whether he is your husband, pastor or boss - amounts to biblical submission. Indeed, those who are submitted to God's will begin submission where God's Word begins. When, in fact, this is the case, the specific submissions to government, leaders and husbands, when applicable, will follow as we begin where God's word begins. Women submitted to God are elevated, blessed, enabled and empowered.

Puppy Love

This little chihuahua was born with a heart-shaped pattern on his coat. The chihuahua has a white coat with a tan colored patch of fur in the shape of a nearly perfect heart.
This dog gives a new meaning to the phrase, “wearing your heart on your sleeve”.

godiz - Never was I the biggest Prince fan in my younger days. I grew up listening to MJ, who didn't love MJ? I didn't quite understand Prince's music, i guess i wasn't mature enough, but today i know better... thanks to one friend of mines who really adore Prince (you know who you are). I just wanna say thank you for opening my "ears" to make some room for this amazing talent, pure art at it's finest. Prince's concert saturday night was a once in a lifetime experience, such a shame it was cut short by the rain, but it was still awesome. He was phenomenal on stage, and people seemed to be in a very good mood despite the crazy weather. On top of that the man looked gorgeous. I think by far that this is the best performances i have ever seen in my life. I can now say that, I am a true fan.
