Peanuts Comic Strip

Bible Study: Confidence, as defined, implies "a firm belief in oneself", without display of arrogance or conceit. "Therefore, we must be careful that we are not consumed with self-will. For of all the possible sins against God, one of the most serious in that of self-will and pride. True confidence begins with faith in God, in His Word, and in Jesus our Lord and Savior. God is the confidence of all the ends of the earth (Ps.65:5). His grace is at work in you to to produce the desire and power to do His will. Believing in Him, one can truly say, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Phil. 4:13). "For the Lord shall be thy confidence" (Prov. 3:26). "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path" (v. 5). Seek the presence of God, for He calls us to do so. We can then identify with the words of psalmist: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall i fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid... Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war shall rise against me, in this will I be confident" (Ps.27:1,3). The ability to enjoy life and succeed in one's pursuits is a gift from God. When we are brought into a right relationship with Him and are submissive to Him, He then gives us joy and confidence in what we do. One's confidence in ourself must be based on a solid foundation, which is God. He promises to do great things for those who wait for Him. Look to Him and persevere in hope, confidence, and patience (Isa. 64:4). "Be confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work of confidence in you will preform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil. 1:6). "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us" (1 John 5:14). If you believe in Him, "then shall thy light break forth as the morning" (Isa. 58:8). Press on with confidence.

Health Tips & Tricks

Whether you drink tap water or bottle water, it's good to boil your water before you drink it, to get rid of anything that may be unclean. You could then pour it back to it's original bottle and put it in the fridge, to keep it fresh and cold. Just a little tip for healthier water.

Book Read - Got Your Back

On September 13, 1996, Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas. Millions of fans wept, while many critics claimed it was the inevitable result of a thugged-out lifestyle. The mystery surrounding the shooting-a suspect has yet to be named-has increased, and rumors of gang wars, disloyalty, and government conspiracies continue to linger. Only Frank Alexander, Tupac's bodyguard druing the last year of his life, knows the real story.
Got Your Back details the exploits of one of the most famous rappers of all time. The drugs, the women, the violence, the money-all provided fuel to the fire that was Tupac's life. As his platinum-selling, posthumously released albums prove, Tupac lives on through his music. Complete with exclusive new interview material with Tupac's mother, Afeni, Got Your Back provides an insider's view of a life gone awry.

Poem - Destined For A Fall

There was a people long ago
Who had great riches, wealth untold
They built a city with a wall
A kingdom they thought would never fall.
How they labored unceasingly
To lay up treasure increasingly,
They gave no thought to what lay beyond
That their kingdom would someday be gone.
But one by one the stones came down;
The city was leveled to the ground
No more fortune to be found
No one left to wear a crown.
The mighty kingdom fell at last
Its beauty's gone; its pleasure's past
All was lost they sought to gain
Their lives were wasted; their labor vain.

You can build a kingdom with a mighty wall
But like the kingdom long ago, it is destined for a fall

Unless Christ the Lord becomes your King
And ruler of everything.

A Bestie

What's a bestie? Well I know what one should be
A bestie is someone who knows and protects your heart yet
 Lets it be free
A bestie is there in good times and bad
A bestie makes u feel good and laugh even when u don't
 Want to when you're sad
A bestie is never away from u more than a few days
It's not cuz they feel they have to, it's because they want it
 That way
A bestie can tell u how special you are and at the same time
 Tell you when you're wrong
When you feel like you're misunderstood or "lost", they'll
 Always show you you "belong"
They bring a smile and peace to you like no one else can
Help you steer clear from any ill intentioned woman or man
A bestie you can talk to about anything and everything for
 Hours on end
When you feel you're being attacked in any way they're
 There to defend
A bestie is like fam, a loyal dog, and advisor all wrapped
 Into one
They seem to warm your soul and light up your life like the
 Great Sun
A bestie most importantly never makes you feel alone
A bestie defined to me is friendship that's fully grown.

A poem to one of the greatest besties in the know who lol

from my bestie in AZ, thanks for always caring and for being one of the best people i know

Grace & Mercy

Bible Study: For many of us grace and mercy don't seem to be very evident within the fabric of our lives. We see grace as something other than what we are and what we have, and mercy as the antidote to our suffering or that of another. We experience existence as loss, while living in the margins of life, outside the boundaries of God's kingdom. It seems beyond our ability to understand why or how we came to be this way in this place and time. For, if given the choice, perhaps we would have chosen something different for ourselves: a different face, different gender, different body, different race, different parents, different path, different gifts and talents. At times, it is hard for us to see of feel the presence of God's grace and mercy in our lives because we perceive ourselves as unworthy and assume that what we cannot see or feel does not exist. Maybe we cannot see it because, as the writer of Psalm 23 says, it follows us. It is always there behind us, upholding us, supporting us, seeing us through life, death, and the darkest valleys. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i i will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever" (v.6). God's mercy does not give us what we deserve. His grace gives us what we do not deserve! Blessed are those who remember God's grace and mercy are always with them and they are never alone. God's grace includes undeserved favor, unexpected acceptance, and unconditional love. Read Psalms 23.
