Just Aaahh!!!

After a long day...

A late bath, all relaxed, smelling good, pj's, bed-clothes newly washed a bunch of pillows, and sleep. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
One of the best feelings ever.

Sometimes the small and simple stuff in life are at times the biggest and most amazing things. I'm gonna sleep like a little baby. I'm so jealous of me right now lol

Nighty Night! :-)

Who Can Tell Me

“Who can tell me where I came from?”
The little boy would ask.
His question was a good one
Yet he faced a trying task.

Each man had different answers
As he was soon to learn.
This brought him great confusion
And it caused a deep concern.

He first went to his schoolmates
And they spoke with one another.
“I know,” said the brightest one,
“You came from your mother.”

Now this had satisfied him,
Yet only for a time.
For as he grew, year by year,
His thoughts began to climb.

He then looked all around him
At all that he could see.
And his mind began to wonder
How it all had come to be.

He thought about the universe,
The span of outer space,
And every star and planet
That exists in every place.

He thought about the rounded Earth,
Its tilt and its rotation,
And all the seasons that occur
In yearly circulation.

He thought about the darkness
And he thought about the light.
He thought about the sun and moon
That rule the day and night.

He thought of all the creatures
Of the land and sea and skies,
Of all the different species
And their variance in size.

He thought of all the plants and trees
And all that each provides,
Each growing from a tiny seed
With roots the soil hides.

He then looked at humanity
The sea of different faces,
Varied tongues and characters
From many distant places.

He thought of mortal bodies,
With features so profound;
And the sense of taste and touch
And smell and sight and sound.

He thought of reproduction
And the miracle of birth.
He thought of human life itself
And all that it is worth.

He then considered human will:
Both the weak and strong.
He thought about the conscience
That discerns the right from wrong.

He thought about emotions
And feelings that arise.
He thought about the love and hate
And tears that flow from eyes.

He thought about the anger
And the joy that’s all around
He thought about the happiness
And sadness that is found.

And filled with curiosity
This boy would daily strive,
In hopeful expectation
That his answer would arrive.

He spoke with scientific men
Who claimed his question solved.
They told him of a real big bang
And that all things evolved.

He then spoke with philosophers
Heard some of them insist
That there’s no true reality
And we do not exist.

He spoke with many people
From different groups and sects,
And heard the vast opinions
Of various intellects.

Now baffled by confusion,
A very troubled youth,
Unable to discern
What is error, what is truth.

He almost gave up looking
But he took a second look.
And very unexpectedly
He found a special Book.

As he gazed upon the first page,
He knew his search was done.
His questions all were answered
In Genesis chapter one.

With a nod of understanding,
He smiled, so elated.
For now he surely knew
“In the beginning, God created. . .”

Sometimes the biggest battle we must fight is within our own soul. The soul is the repository where life's issues are stored - issues that born out of our life experiences. These issues either bring us joy or pain. They can cause us to grow or decay. They can illicit transformation or stagnancy. One of the life issues that plague all, particularly women, is abandonment. Abandonment is defined as "being forsaken or deserted." For many of us it was the father we never really knew, or perhaps the mother whom we feel never really cared for us. For others, it might have been the dissolution of marriage we thought would last forever. For some, it was the betrayal of a friend, or the unexpected death of a loved one. Regardless of its genesis, each experience can leave us doubting our self-worth or questioning our judgement. It can cause us to become distrustful and guarded in our interactions with others, whether romantic, platonic, or familial. Unresolved life issues like abandonment leave holes in our souls that need to be filled. In desperation, we try to fill those holes with things that are temporal, like alcohol, drugs, food, sex, money, and other worldly pleasures. In the end we find ourselves feeling deserted, dissatisfied, and alone. But there is hope! Our heavenly Father specializes in healing the holes in our souls and helping us handle life issues. Who better to heal our souls than the One who created us and gave us life? We can take comfort in knowing that God understands and God cares. The Bible teaches that we do not have a high priest that cannot be touched by the feeling of our infirmity (Heb. 4:14-16). During God's time on earth in the Person of Jesus Christ, He too struggled with issues of abandonment. Members of His own community and family rejected him (John 7:1-5). Jesus own followers deserted Him in His darkest hour (Mark 14:66-72). He was betrayed unto death by one of His own disciples (vv. 10-11). In addition, during the time He needed His Father the most, He felt alone, and cried out in anguish, "My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me?" (Matt. 27:46). Have you ever felt abandoned by God? You are not alone. Situations will occur in life that will cause us to feel God has forsaken us. But like Jesus Christ arose from the dead in victory, we too can arise from the grip of despair and experience victory over our feelings of abandonment. First, we must relieve ourselves of guilt and responsibility. Whether it was the husband who walked out and or the father who never showed up - accept that it is not your fault. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14), created in the image of God and worthy of love and attention. Second, we must find comfort in the love of God. The Bible reminds us that when our mothers and fathers forsake us that God will take care of us (Ps. 27:10). God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die that we might enter into an everlasting love relationship with Him (John 3:16). Finally, we must embrace and believe that God will never leave us or forsake us (Heb. 13:5). God has promised to be with us even  unto the end of the world (Matt. 28:20). Read Matthew 27:46; Hebrews 4:14-16; 13:15.

Just A Thought

I can't explain how much LOVE i've got in my heart, that i want to give away. It's so much it hurts to keep inside at times. I've been doing a whole lot of thinking lately about my future. Like... what kind of life i would want to have, what kind of person i want to be with and be, all that stuff and more. I know for sure that I wan't a stable home built on a rock Matthew 7:24-27 a forever team.
It seems like now days, women are more concerned with having a successful career and being all independent than they are with settling down and raising a family. The world is a changing place, after all. But me, I still dream about being a mother and a wife, Is that weird? lol I have to say, the more i think about it, the more I am convinced It's something i really yearn for (ol'skool) I really think i was born to be a mother (technically yes all women are) But, if i do have a baby of my own one day with my "future" amazing husband, I just know... I'm going to do my outmost, to be the best mom ever to be! With no doubt in my mind. To all the good mommy's and potential's out there, yes! and the daddy's, thanks for doing a great job, I might join the crew one day... keep doing what you're doing, we need you. Just a thought...

Did You Know

Warm Morning

godiz - I'm feeling so much better today, yaye!! Thank you Jesus <3

5 Day Recovery

I've given this cold, 5 days to stay in my system. I'm on day 4 on curing myself naturally. Meaning there's only one day left for this battle. I will be gladly saying... peace out! to the virus on the morrow. And I'm feeling better already. If there happen to be a next time "if" that is, It won't stand a chance. "Jackie Chan'ed you once, I'll Jackie Chan you twice"

Sensitive Or Sick

godiz - lying down all sweaty with a fever, watching TV as this movie is on... I literally just cried over a dead ant.

Zinc, Vitamin C & D

Natural Sources (on how to cure thyself from a cold or a flu)

Many people believe that colds and flu are caused by bacteria, but this is simply incorrect. Colds and flu are caused by viruses, and using antibiotics to treat a viral infection is inappropriate and completely ineffective. This is how you can cure yourself the natural way...

Zinc - an essential mineral that is found in variety of foods. Good source of zinc: Organic red meat, beans, nuts, yoghurt, chicken and more...

Vitamin C - Found in all fruits and vegetables.
Good source of vitamin C: green pepper, tomatoes, strawberries, broccoli, oranges and other citrus fruits, and juices and more...

Vitamin D - Naturally found in few foods.
Most people get vitamin D through exposure to sun and fortified foods. Good source of vitamin D: sunlight, salmon, tuna, parsley, eggs, orange juice and other foods...

Weakens Immune System: sugar, dairy products, grains, artificial foods.

Boosts The Immune System: rest, exercise (lightly), omega 3, vinegar, lime, honey (organic), ginger, coconut oil, elderberries, water. (Inhale peppermint oil)

godiz I haven't been sick in probably over 5 years... but thanks to a huge family gathering at my granny's house a few days ago... with sick people, that's hugging and kissing you. I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. But I'm not giving in on this cold. I'm gonna kick this virus butt naturally, before it tries to get at me. It feels like it was forever ago, I don't even remember how it felt being sick. Let me tell you... It sux! especially for people like me, who likes to be in control. I'm praying to be healed soon...

That Hur

godiz - still on that hair journey...

15 Cents

A Story (the ice cream boy)

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10 year old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

“How much is an ice cream sundae?”

“50 cents,” replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied a number of coins in it.

“How much is a dish of plain ice cream?” he inquired. Some people were now waiting for a table and the waitress was a bit impatient.

“35 cents,” she said brusquely.

The little boy again counted the coins. “I’ll have the plain ice cream,” he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and departed.

When the waitress came back, she began wiping down the table and then swallowed hard at what she saw.

There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were 15 cents – her tip.

godiz - be kind / be patient

My NYE Nails

godiz - I like my nails short and fresh looking (never been into the SWV ones) you don't need a lot of nail to be creative :-) You can do many different and simple things, that will make them pop! I personally do shellac once a month on my fingers and toes, to prevent them from any form of breakage. http://skincare.about.com/od/caringforyourfeet/a/CDNShellac.htm
