Responsible Decisions In Leadership

Bible Study (for women): Chapter twenty- two of 2 Kings provides a powerful backdrop for women in employing the principles of responsible decision making in leadership. God used Huldah, the prophet, as God's instrument to communicate the Word of the Lord, and to warn the king of God's judgement for the nations sinful, wayward acts. God's call transcends gender, race, cultural background, and human imperfection. God calls women and men to be His vehicles for truth, honesty, and justice in a world that has turned away from the Creator. When the appointed people came to Huldah, she heeded the word from the Lord, obeyed God's message, and interpreted it as she was led. Throughout biblical history God has used women as agents for justice, agents of goodwill, and agents of the Gospel message. In this story, God used a prophet, Huldah, to speak and interpret God's word of coming disaster for the Hebrew people in the face of Israel's worship of other gods and ignorance of God's teachings. Deborah, Rahab, Phoebe, the woman Jesus talked to at the well, Mary (Jesus' mother), and countless others have shown courage and strength in their ability to make important decisions, to display exemplary leadership, and to speak the truth in love for God's people. God's appointed messenger was Huldah, who had the courage and insight to interpret the Book of the Law in a truthful and straightforward manner. In our work in the world, God will place people in our lives from whom we can glean knowledge that will assure our success. We must call upon trusted leaders to assist us in the work of God's kingdom. The legacy Huldah left to us is one in which God leads us to discern carefully, to remain prayerful, and to speak the truth of God's justice and mercy. Women of God face special challenges in the journey through life. Learning the important principles of responsible decision making, delegation, and teamwork require prayerful deliberation, strategic thinking, and dialogue with trusted mentors and true friends. God has given us the gift of discernment in our decision making, creative thinking for our choices, and the ability to seek out allies and colleagues who will work with us in the professional arena. The gift of trusted friendship and mentoring was illustrated in the story of Huldah. Let us find a message in this story and apply it to our lives.

Straight Up Teefh

First of... i just wanna say that i personally think a nice set of teeth along with a nice smile is the most attractive thing ever! Second, a taken care of mouth makes you wanna kiss a person all the time. Aaah! drooling... Third, if i wasn't as sensitive as i am of blood and what else, i would easily have become a dentist. It's so fascinating how they can fix and transform things. I'm always amazed when i look at their before and after work.

I'm very happy that i've been blessed with some super straight white teeth. Iv'e also always been obsessed with flossing and brushing lol. I would say my teefh are one of my best assets.

I remember one of my best friends always had crooked teeth. One day she told me that she had decided to get them fixed. Even though it cost her some, (it was so worth it) she said that it was the best thing she's ever done for herself and would recommend it to anyone with unbalanced teeth. Her smile was just straight bling blinging after.

Just look at these pictures and see for yourself. Seriously... WOW!

Sacrificial Living

My life is not my own - "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord" (Ps. 27:14). Sometimes i believe I can almost hear the souls of my people crying out, "How long O Lord must we wait!" We have waited for hundreds of years for inclusion in the benefits of our nation. We have sacrificed our wants, desires, and needs for the good of the whole, and still are we in many ways disenfranchised. However, the Word instructs us that the "system" we must seek inclusion in - and the benefits of - is the kingdom of God. No earthly system, government, or culture can compare to that of God. Even though we, by earthly standards, have sacrificed a great deal, it cannot compare to the sacrifice of Christ Jesus (Matt. 26:52-54; Mark 14:36). Just as Yeshua laid down His life for us, we must lay down our lives for others (1 John 3:16-17), giving it completely and wholeheartedly. God's people have a unique opportunity to illustrate to the remainder of the body of Christ and the world: the godly principle of denying oneself and living for Christ and others (John 15:12-17). This is the legacy of our foreparents - a legacy not of gold, silver, and worldly riches, but one of sacrifice, service, and love for Christ and the body of Christ (John 12:25-26; Rom. 12:10; 1 Cor. 13:1-3). We must again remove ourselves from the standards of success set by the world and look to the Word of God for our validation (John 6:27; Rom. 12:1-2).
Read John 15:12-17.
